The site superintendent is a key player in the performance of the schedule and the co-ordination of all activities on the site. In addition to dealing with site issues, this person will keep accurate as-built drawings and site records, while maintaining and enforcing site safety requirements. A fundamental understanding of construction methods and sequencing is required. This position requires strong organizational and planning skills. It also demands the ability to provide alternate approaches when planned activities and goals are difficult to achieve. As the site is typically an intense environment, this individual will have strong interpersonal and mediation skills to minimize conflict among workers on site and facilitate all trade activity. All of our site superintendents have a carpentry designation or equivalent trade experience as a prerequisite to management.
